All of the published studies are highly concordant in finding that breast MR is the most accurate imaging technique currently available for local breast cancer staging

Inflammatory Breast Cancer: DCE MR

Inflammatory Breast Cancer: Dynamic Contrast-enhanced MR in Patients Receiving Bevacizumab Initial Experience
Arpi Thukral, David M. Thomasson, Catherine K. Chow, Reyes Eulate, Suparna B. Wedam, Sandeep N. Gupta, Betty J. Wise, Seth M. Steinberg, David J. Liewehr, Peter L. Choyke, and Sandra M. Swain

We found that the MR-derived integrated area under the gadolinium concentration curve and general kinetic model parameters forward transfer rate constant and backflow compartmental rate constant extravascular and extracellular to plasma were the most strongly associated with changes in inflammatory breast cancer response after treatment with bevacizumab alone and combination bevacizumab therapy and chemotherapy

Contrast-enhanced Subharmonic US

Breast Lesions: Imaging with Contrast-enhanced Subharmonic US Initial Experience

Subharmonic imaging may increase the ability to diagnose breast cancer compared with current techniques (albeit on the basis of findings in a very small subject group).

Randomized Trial of Screen-Film versus Full-Field Digital Mammography

Randomized Trial of Screen-Film versus Full-Field Digital Mammography with Soft-Copy Reading in Population-based Screening Program: Follow-up and Final Results of Oslo II Study
Per Skaane, Solveig Hofvind, and Arnulf Skjennald
Radiology 2007;244 708-717

The Oslo II follow-up study results have demonstrated a significantly higher cancer detection rate at full-field digital mammography than at screen-film mammography, whereas the positive predictive values were comparable for the two imaging modalities.
